At dawn today, a detainee died after waiting three months for the judicial resolution that would allow his admission to a third-level medical institution (those that are exclusively dedicated to the rehabilitation of basic functions). He was held in the CPF II of Marcos Paz, and he had been referred due to an aneurysm to the U.21 prison hospital unit, and then urgently to the Santojanni Hospital, where he suffered a stroke.

In this year in which the World Health Organization proposes: "Mental health care for all, let's make it a reality", the PPN will endeavor to monitor compliance with the Comprehensive Strategic Health Plan 2021-2023 in the Federal Penitentiary Service. Plan that expresses the repeated recommendation of this body that health, in confinement contexts, be conceived as part of public policies under the governance of the Ministry of Health of the Nation.

On October 7, 2021, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (CSJN) annulled the decision of the Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation (CFCP) that had declared inadmissible the appeal of the PPN against the sentence of the Federal Chamber of Appeals of San Martin (CFASM).

The PPN recommended to the Ministry of Justice and Security of the CABA that the necessary measures be adopted in order to guarantee adequate food for the people housed in the communal wardens and neighborhood police stations in Buenos Aires.
